Went to Benidorm for the first time this year and absolutely loved it! Ashamed to say that I was always put off by the negative talk surrounding Benidorm and it took me a number of years to pluck up the courage to take up a cheap last minute deal. I don’t understand why everyone talks so negatively about it. sure, there’s some sketchy parts but this is the same wherever you go in the world. To be honest I never saw them but didn’t venture to far away from the beach front – only to visit the Bolton bar! Haha
Usually just the TV programmes and news that make it out to be tacky and a bit trashy but that’s what makes good TV. Been going to Benidorm for 30 years, with the kids and without the kids and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Would love to live there one day but don’t think it’s as easy as it used to be.
Love Benidorm! Same as any other busy tourist resort in the world – Just be vigilant. Some areas are as safe as houses, some areas I wouldn’t walk through at night. But this would be the same in the UK, America, most places around the world. Some trashy areas, some stunning areas, same again.
