Lived in Benidorm on Camping Villasol now for 5 years and love every minute. Spain isn’t as cheap as it used to be but still cheaper than England. We live comfortably as pensioners far better than if we had stayed at home in sunny Stoke!

This would be a dream but unfortunately I don’t think I have the courage to do it anymore after losing my husband

Can I ask why you moved back to the UK?

Brexit mainly. We had seen a lot of changes happen and like most OAPs began to panic about how it would affect us. Knowing what we know now, we wouldn’t have made the move back.

Don’t think this is possible to do for many people any more.

Still possible. You just need to be willing to follow the Spanish rules and have a Gestor to guide you through the process. Obviously, it isn’t as easy as it used to be to retire in Spain but most of us OAPs can fulfil the needed criteria to be come resident.

Aww, that’s a shame Pat. We rode it out and glad we did. Wouldn’t give up our little place in the Sun for anything now.

The beers still cheap but what about food and the general cost of living. Is it really that much cheaper to live or am I missing something?
