Main Forum Rules & Policies

We’re a friendly bunch of enthusiastic caravan owners who all love Benidorm (and in particular Caravans!) and we want to keep it this way. We’ll never prevent anyone from having a personal opinion as debate is what makes the forum tick, but we have certain rules and guidelines that we expect our users to follow. Our Forum is an inclusive, respectful and friendly place for those who either live in Benidorm, those looking to move here, or those who just like a natter about everything Benidorm. Our forum is not exclusive and anyone is welcome to join.

These rules are in addition to what is listed in our Terms Of Use. Please read through these sections before using our site, and contact us if you have any questions.

1. You may only have one account on this forum. No exceptions. If you have issues with your account or need help changing your username, password, email, etc., you can post for assistance or contact us. Members can also find help in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.

2. We expect our members to treat each other respectfully. Although ideas and opinions may be challenged, name-calling, personal attacks, belittling others input/posts or any other inappropriate behaviour will not be allowed and may cause your posts to be hidden, warnings issued to you, or, you get banned. Harassment is not tolerated in this community.

2a. Community members are asked not to question or debate moderators’ decisions on the forum. In the event of a disagreement or questioning of a moderator’s decision or actions, users should contact the moderator(s) or fellow moderator(s) via the private message (PM) system.

2b. Trolling behavior is not allowed. This includes deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or highly offensive comments to disrupt the community or harass another member.

2c. Do not disclose private information about members without their consent. (e.g., names, contact details, pictures, personal life, etc., including private messages, Facebook, email, and social media.)

2d. Please do not publicly call-out/correct spelling and grammar. If you do not understand a post simply ask for clarity rather than pointing out mistakes/typo’s or other mishaps. We do not want to discourage people posting or making their point.

3. Discriminatory remarks of any sort will not be tolerated. This includes degrading or offensive comments about an individual or group based on race, colour, ethnicity, sex, sexuality, age, nationality, religious affiliation, or any other basis.

4. Please do not post messages or contact the moderation/admin team on behalf of banned members. They are banned for a reason, which is not open for general discussion. However, banned users may contact us themselves.

5. Member names, signatures and avatars should be appropriate. No excessively obscene or rude language/content is allowed. Your name, signature and avatar may not be used to harm, harass or insult fellow members or spread messages that are generally forbidden. We reserve the right to delete or edit members’ names, signatures and avatars where deemed necessary.

6. Advertising is only allowed under specific conditions and in the Caravans For Sale (Classifieds) section or Caravans For Rent section

7. No adult-rated material, links to adult-rated material, nor any form of nudity may be posted. In addition to nudity, all forms of sexual content (images, jokes, etc.) are prohibited from being posted on the site.

8. Profanity should be kept to a minimum in this community.

9. You may only post your own material and content. Posting copyrighted material, trademarks, and other violations of the DMCA is prohibited.

10. Negative Posts – Whilst opinions matter, and in some circumstances warrant the response, constant negative responses to posts will be deemed as ‘trolling’. And, we will address this as so. Using our forum solely for the purpose of attacking a business or individual will not be allowed.

11. Please try to keep content related to the each forum area. We feel that we’ve provided the relevant places for discussion to take place but if there is a relevant section missing, please contact us and we’ll look to include it.

We reserve the right to enforce our forum rules accordingly and in extreme circumstances, issue a private warning, formal warning, temporary ban, or permanent ban.

We don’t want to dampen spirits with rules but we want our forum to be a place where varied opinion is presented in the right way and we thank you for your understanding.
