By far and away, the number 10 bus is the most used form of transport for both residents and owners getting around Benidorm. You'll find multiple stops scattered throughout the Rincon de Loix end of Benidorm (AKA Campsite Corner) and most Benidorm campsites have a bus stop at the entrance. The service runs every 30 minutes during the Summer and completes a circular route between Benidorm, Albir, Alfaz (Alfas del Pi) & Altea.
Fortunately, Benidorm is in an area that has it's very own microclimate which sees the average temperature for the Winter rarely drop below 16 degrees. December & January are the coolest months but either side of these, you may even see sunny days reaching as high as the mid 20's. Benidorm is also recognised as one of the areas on the Costa Blanca that gets the least amount of Rainfall. This is due to the surrounding Sierra Aitana mountain range, which provides a barrier for rain clouds and it provides a shelter from strong winds.
This comes down to a number of factors, but Benidorm is still seen as a great value place to live and enjoy the Spanish lifestyle. This is due to lower lifestyle costs across the board, but mainly when it comes to eating out and drinking. For example, you can still get a pint of lager for 1€ in Benidorm and an English breakfast for not much more. In addition, you can also go for a Chinese or Indian buffet meal with drinks for less than 10€ per person. If buffets aren't your thing, you'll notice that most English and Spanish restaurants offer a Menu del dia (menu of the day) and this equates to a starter, main, dessert and drink for around 12€.
Obviously, we also have more expensive bars and restaurants to eat and drink, but if you're clever and plan properly, you wouldn't need much more than 200€ per person per month to enjoy a healthy social life - going out 3-4 times per week.
There are lots of factors which will determine the cost of this, but knowing that the average site fee costs, electricity, gas & Insurance comes in at approximately 530€ per month, you only need to figure out what amounts you'll need for general day to day living. Shopping costs can also be quite varied where you shop will determine the costs. It's tempting to go and shop for British goods in places like Iceland but you'll find it far more affordable by shopping at Spanish supermarkets, Aldi or Lidl.
Taking into consideration that you'll shop locally, we estimate that a weekly shop for essentials will likely cost around 70€ for 2 people. In addition, you'll also have social and lifestyle costs which can be anywhere from 100€ to 400€ per month. Taking the average lifestyle costs at 200€ per month + 530€ living costs + 280€ shopping costs, we estimate that you could live comfortably as a couple for around a 1000€ per month (approximately 33€ per day based on a 30 day month).

Annual site fee costs / plot fees in Benidorm vary from campsite to campsite, and this will depend on the size of plot and type of caravan that you plan on siting. Some of the Benidorm Campsites offer discounts for longer periods of stay whereas others only charge by a daily rate. Needless to say, the Campsites which allow a longer period of stay (and provide a long term agreement), offer discounts on the daily rate of about 5%.
Based on the recently released site fees for 2024 / 2025, the average annual fee for Benidorm campsites comes in at 5,500€ per year. This should be used as a guide only, as some campsites have a cheaper annual price and some have a higher price. You should check directly with each campsite or join our Benidorm Campsite Chat section of the forum, whereby others will share the exact prices for the Campsite they're on.
The Benidorm Campsites with the biggest plots is Camping la Media Legua and Camping Almafra. Both of these Campsites are situated on the outskirts of Benidorm which allows them to accommodate these large plot sizes. the additional bonus is that if you're towing a large caravan or have a large motorhome access to these campsites via the N332 road is much easier than venturing to some of the smaller campsites in central Benidorm.
You have 2 Campsites which are both close to Benidorm but in entirely different areas. For central Benidorm, Camping Villasol is the closest and would suit those who want to be close to Benidorm landmarks such as the Benidorm Outdoor Market & The British Square. On the other hand, you have Camping la Torreta, which is closest to the Levante beach and Benidorm Landmarks such as the Benidorm Palace & Rincon de Loix area.

Technically, yes you can, but the deciding factor is whether the Campsite has available plots. Benidorm is an extremely popular location in Spain for Camping & Caravanning and you'll find that unlike 5-10 years ago when plots were readily available, in 2024 they're like gold dust!
Benidorms established Campsites are at near full capacity and some of them no longer even offer long term plots. Furthermore, some of the campsites have decided to hold back some designated long term plots that have been vacated to use for siting their own rental bungalows or using for season tourists.
That said, Benidorm is set to become the Camping & Caravanning capital of Spain with no less than 5 new campsites opening up! The recent opening of the new Camping la Media Legua Campsite has given Benidorms lack of Campsite availability a much needed boost. As you'd imagine, eager long term clients snapped up a large proportion of the available long term plots but there is still a small number available.

This one can be quite confusing as static caravans and mobile homes mean different things in the UK and Spain.
In Spain, a mobile home is regarded as what we would know as a static caravan in the UK. They use the term 'bungalow' to describe a residential spec or style mobile home - one which could be lived in full time on a park or a peace of land. The spec of a bungalow or mobile home is determined by the manufacturer, and differs when compared to the UK made equivalent.
On the other hand, a static caravan in the UK is a holiday caravan - generally smaller in size and without the comfort features of central heating added insulation. A Mobile Home is what the UK would consider as a residential spec caravan, with added insulation, central heating, double or triple glazed windows and built to residential spec guidelines.
To create even more confusion, new UK holiday caravans are being built with fixtures and fittings that you'd expect at one time to only see in a mobile home, albeit without being built with residential grade materials.
A fixed touring caravan is a touring caravan that doesn't move any more. Although Initially built for the purpose of touring, the caravan no longer moves from it's plot in Benidorm. You'll generally see that this is enforced by the fact that it has a fixed awning, living space in the awning and skirting around the bottom of the caravan. You'll see lots of these caravans sit on long term plots on all Benidorm Campsites.
