Looking at different campsites and it’s confusing having so much choice. Which campsites are recommended? I’m a single retired lady who likes to socialise and get out and about, but a campsite with a friendly community is my preference. I also won’t be driving so it needs to be close to Benidorm or near a bus stop. Thank-you in advance for recommendations.
I’ve lived on Benisol, Almafra and Villamar and I liked each one for different reasons.
Benisol is a smaller campsite with a nice community. I also didn’t drive but the bus stop is right outside the entrance.
Villamar was probably my favourite. I liked the holiday atmosphere and the clubhouse. The back entrance brings you out at the top of the Rincon area and near the bus stop. My only gripe was it being a big campsite and I found that unless you go to the clubhouse regularly, you don’t meet people outside of your street.
Almafra was great as I had a static on there and it was more like a real living space. The reason I moved was the bus stop being moved. It used to be at the campsite entrance but when changed the main road, they moves it to a 15 minute walk away.

Camping Almafra for us. Spent 3 weeks here over the summer. Entertainment amazing and night time pool parties. Was only here on holiday so can’t comment on the community but all of the owners seemed friendly enough.
